
Foundations of Inversions Workshop: the Benefits of upside-down Poses in
Yoga
Inversions are postures in yoga where the heart is above the head in
relation to the ground. They have a number of benefits and can help us
improve other poses too. This extended class will explore the reasons
for incorporating inversions into our practice and how to effectively
integrate them into our routines. We will look at a number of postures
and exercises to establish foundational strength and stability,
addressing potential fears, and engaging in different forms of
inversion, some requiring more strength, some more restorative. We will
leave ample time at the end for relaxation and integration.
This workshop is open to all levels.
