About Yogaloom

Yogaloom is a company that offers personalised yoga instruction and tailored training according to the customers' needs. Katerina, who founded Yogaloom in 2008, comes from a dance background, and brings a holistic approach to her teaching and therapeutic work.

At the core of Yogaloom is the belief that through the use of physical postures, breathing practices, relaxation techniques, visualisation and meditation, we aim to help restore the balance between the body and mind and encourage natural healing. We offer a relaxing practice. The practice is always yours - instruction is always tailored to each individual's needs and level of experience. We place our focus on gaining flexibility and strength, as well as control of the mind, in the way that only Yoga can achieve.

The Asanas/postures are practiced in combination with controlled breathing and in a state of total relaxation, in order to achieve control of the mind and, eventually, high levels of concentration. Our goal is to find the best way to work with each person or group, encouraging their uniqueness and preserving their health and wellness in the most effective and exciting way. Our system philosophies are summarised in 5 principles:

  • Controlled breathing - Pranayama
  • Exercise - Asanas/postures
  • Relaxation - Savasana
  • Positive thinking and Meditation
  • Proper diet

Our studio

Our studio offers a bright and serene atmosphere. It can fit up to 3 practitioners and there is always plenty of space and time for a tea and a chat before and after the class. There is Yoga and Pilates mat-work equipment.

Get updates about Yogaloom retreats and classes

Sometimes we have news we can't wait to share with you. That's when we send out a newsletter. We might announce a new yoga retreat in the Greek islands, or a special offer on yoga classes at our London studio, or sometimes we just need to share an exciting innovation in yoga therapy practices. Our newsletters only get sent out a few times a year, and only when we have something to offer. We'd love it if you added your name to the list.
